What is the arms lift?

The arms lift, also called brachioplasty, is an operation to remove excess skin and fat from the arms. This surgery tightens the underlying tissues defining the shape of the arm from the shoulder to the elbow.

Why would you want the arms lift?

The excess skin does not want to return to it’s place.
Weight fluctuations, aging and familiarity can make your arms limp and droopy. Exercise and weight loss are useful things, but they only work on muscle tone. In any case they do not help to reduce the excess skin. If arms will appear without tone and too large, the brachioplasty can be surgery for you.

What can you expect after surgery?

The same day

You will be constantly under observation until you are able to go home. Sometimes you will have to stay overnight. Someone will have to take you home and drive. At home you will need to be assisted for a day or two. At home it is important to rest for a few days. You can walk if you feel to do so. Remember to buy the medicines prescribed before surgery

The first week

For two weeks after you should wear an elastic compression garment made in the USA that is provided directly by the medical office. You can take a shower after a few days. Bruises will appear but you will be calm because Dr. Borra will have told you that this is normal.

Two months

You will see yourself already better , but to see the definitive result takes time.

Six months

You will see yourself very well and you will be happy with your decision.
