Sometimes after weight loss or with the passage of time, lips lose volume and definition. In other cases, the lip is simply small or asymmetrical (one side is different from the other or the upper lip is much smaller than the lower one).

Restore the tone and definition of the lips is simple. We use natural products such as hyaluronic acid and collagen, both present naturally in the body. The treatment with filler is performed with an anesthetic cream, prepared  exclusively  for Dr. Borra’s  medical office, or with an anesthesia similar to the one practiced by dentists. Straight after the treatment we apply ice packs.

The treatment takes place in the medical office. The treatment improves the volume, but especially the definition of the lips: the aim of treatment is to increase the volume or redefine the lips naturally.

How does it work

The injections into the lip area give excellent results: we define the lip contour, fill volumes if necessary and correct the vertical wrinkles around the lips.

Duration of results

To maintain the optimal correction of the lips, maintenance treatments are needed: at the beginning they  are more frequent, especially for young women in which the duration of the filler is shorter.

What is the difference between various brands of hyaluronic acid

The fillers for the lips are composed of crosslinked molecules, to increase durability. The more they are linked and dense, the more they increases their durability, but this reduces the softness. Some are also enriched with anesthetic.

What to do for deep wrinkles (barcode)

Dr. Borra uses fillers and Botox. If the expression lines mark the area, the treatment with Botox added to the filler can be very effective. In some cases Dr. Borra intervenes with the Fraxel laser and with the V-lift threads.

With special microcannulas we can intervene with precision on the lips with only two injections without practicing the usual 6-8 injections. The treatment with the microcannules is suitable to stretch and increase the volume.
